Kyle co-authored two amicus appellate briefs which were subsequently submitted to the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Gurwell volunteered with Homeboy Industries and A New Way of Life throughout law school.

Kyle began his legal work experience as a law clerk for a major insurance litigation defense firm in downtown Los Angeles, then worked for himself as a solo practitioner, worked as a partner in his family's law firm, and worked as an associate in a family law firm. Attorney Kyle Gurwell now practices general civil litigation with a focus on the areas of real estate, family law, personal injury, products liability, business and contract disputes. Kyle speaks fluent Spanish.

His areas of legal practice include Litigation (civil, consumer, personal injury), Family (divorce, post-decree), Financial (credit reporting errors, debt collection defense) Real Estate (title disputes, boundary disputes), and limited Criminal (misdemeanors, traffic (DUIs, driving privileges, traffic tickets).

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal their bread.
